The Woollen Market is an artisan family business built on premium woollen products made by expert Irish craftspeople — in a tradition passed on through many generations. We are committed to supporting local Irish talent but we have a global ambition. We are an internationally renowned luxury brand, and our reputation grows daily with each order shipped around the world from our base in Ireland.

Preserving an Irish Tradition

 We sell premium woollen creations in small batch quantities, so we value dedicated craftwork. We work with independent family-owned woollen mills, artisan studios and talented weavers to design and produce beautiful bespoke pieces through traditional weaving methods.

Always Supporting Local

We have a local-first ethos — our whole premium collection is created within 500 miles of our office in Ireland. This reduces our carbon footprint, and gives us a chance to support the continued growth of skilled Irish craftspeople and a much cherished tradition.

We only work with manufacturing partners who share our commitment to curating and preserving artisanal crafts in Ireland. Our premium woollen collections are knitted in small batch quantities using traditional methods passed down through generations of dedicated specialist weavers.

We will never compromise on this commitment — we only work with yarn suppliers with proven good animal welfare practises, and we NEVER add cheap and carbon intensive synthetics such as nylon, polyester or acrylic into our creations.
