A Little About Us
The Woollen Market is a dedicated knitwear company privately owned. It operates various famous store stores throughout the West coast of Ireland and has a long history of operating on the internet since its first web site in 1998. As a small company we have enjoyed significant success throughout the years with over 40 years of mail order experience our company is trusted by thousands of customers worldwide to deliver their shopping on time every time.
We encourage customers to become familiar with our terms and conditions for doing business on our web site and to regularly re-visit this section to read any changes or new information posted relevant to doing business with our company. It is understood by your use of our web site that you have familiarized yourself with our terms & conditions.
Description of products
Each product is sold subject to its product description and or photograph. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions, photographs and prices of products appearing on our web site are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto our web site. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information including product prices appearing on this web site at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order. Product Orders Prices and availability of all products and services listed on the site are subject to change without notice. The listing, description of, or reference to, a product or service on the Site does not imply that the product or service is presently available or that we endorse that product or service. In the event a product or service is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, error in pricing information received from a supplier, or any other reason, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for such product or service at the incorrect price, even if the order has been confirmed and/or your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall promptly issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price paid.
A receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or for no reason at all. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order, with prior notice to you, to supply less than the quantity you have ordered of any product or service.
Shipping & Delivery
The shipping times quoted are estimates and are not guaranteed. While very effort is made to ensure we offer a quick and hassle free delivery service certain factors are outside of our control. We do however keep you fully informed of expected delays or dispatch / delivery problems as they happen so that alternate arrangements may be put in place. Any additional charges levied on The Woollen Market for mistakes or delivery errors due to incorrect delivery information or parcels being returned due to no one being available to sign for a delivery or for reasons not caused by a mistake by an agent of The Woollen Market will be the responsibility of the sender. Your use of our web site authorizes us to recover all costs from the sender for these additional charges. We use the irish postal system for deliveries and they in turn use various couriers internationally to fulfill international delivery. If there is no one generally at home during the day to accept delivery we urge you to consider using a different address such as a work address as delivery is only attempted on one occasion before being left in a local depot for collection for a few days. Courier companies can levy surcharges once a parcel has been dispatched to have an address changed in the system for delivery. A a rule of thumb our standard deliveries are facilitated through the local postal service in the country of delivery so collection from a local sorting office may be necessary in the event that no one is home to accept delivery during day time hours.
Returns, Exchanges or Damages.
We hope that you are delighted with your purchase from The Woollen Market. However, for any reason if you would like to return any items (*certain restrictions apply), we are happy to provide a refund or exchange assuming that the goods are still in their original packaging and in fully re-saleable condition. To receive a refund or an exchange you must return the goods to us within 14 days of delivery Goods must be returned with your packing slip to the address below. Mail order returns, The Woollen Market, 36 Abbey Street, Ennis, Co Clare, All goods returned must be in a perfect and saleable condition with the original product packaging, labels and instructions where appropriate. If the goods do not reach us in a perfect and saleable condition, and in their original packaging, then your right to a full refund will be affected. If returning goods, the parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they are received at our address. The cost of returning the goods is at your expense. This does not affect your statutory rights. We recommend using a registered postal service and retaining the proof of postage as we may require signed proof of delivery. The Woollen Market is not responsible for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit back to us. If returning goods to one of our stores, you will need to have a copy of the delivery docket that accompanies the shipment. Without a copy of your delivery docket, we are unfortunately not able to accept any returns in the stores. Please note that your original delivery charges will not be refunded when the non delivery is not our mistake ie, no one home or wrong address given. * Restrictions – we are unable to offer a refund or exchange on special orders, sale products or personalized products (unless the mistake is ours)
In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged or is faulty, please email firstname.lastname@example.org attaching an image of the damaged item immediately. Damaged deliveries must be notified within 7 days of delivery to you. We will then arrange for a collection of the goods and organize a replacement to be sent out at the earliest opportunity. In some instances you will be asked to post the delivery back to us & in turn you will be given a full refund on these postal charges. Due to the handmade nature of many of the products supplied by The Woollen Market we cannot be held liable for any perceived flaw, slight colour variance or disappointment in any product delivered to you. We never sells seconds and each garment has been produced by to a recognized standard of excellence at The Woollen Mill, checked by the master-weaver on completion and again by the order-packer
Refunds can only be offered onto the original card that was used for payment.
Product and Service Availability
The Woollen Market does not guarantee that we will not sell out of stock of any particular yarn colour or garment nor can we guarantee that we will continue our service offerings, prices or facilities indefinitely. We reserve the right to substitute any product of equal value and nature if the original product becomes unavailable with your prior notificzation or to offer a full refund if a satisfactory replacement cannot be offered. Customers will always be notified in the unlikely event that we sell out of a product or a product ordered being discontinued with our replacement suggestion and or option of a full refund.
You are responsible for any payments due for any products or services ordered through your account. If we do not receive payment from your credit issuer or its agents, you agree to pay all amounts due to us. You shall also be responsible for any costs of collection of overdue payment. Sales Tax (VAT) We are required by law to charge applicable value added tax on products shipped within Europe. All prices shown on thewoollenmarket.com are inclusive of Irish sales tax (Value added tax) We do not offer the facility on our web site to deduct sales tax from non EU shopping International Import Duties or Local Tax We cannot guarantee that all international deliveries made outside of Europe on regular delivery by The Woollen Market will be free of any import duties, local taxes or import customs. Any international customs & excise duties, local taxes or charges related to importation of your gift will be the responsibility of the recipient on delivery of the gift.

No material or product photography from this site may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or distributed in any way without the prior permission from an agent of thewoollenmarket.com in writing.
